Visiting Care

Whether it is for short-term companionship or for long term support, we will work with friends and family to deliver the most professional and suitable support.

We are here to provide additional support, should you require short term help after a hospital stay or longer-term assistance with personal care, cooking, cleaning, medication or shopping.

Companionship: We provide on-going support and companionship to include going on outings, organising social visits to friends and other activities of their choice.

Personal Assistance Services: At AMD we aim to keep our clients active and independent, and to continue to contribute to family and community life. We provide support in getting to and from the shops, accessing the community (clubs, churches etc), maintain hobbies, support with household tasks like cooking, cleaning and even helping with pets. We also can help with hospital and other appointments like hairdressers and dentists, managing prescriptions and collecting medications.

Convalescent Care: Following surgery or treatment, some people require extra support to help them recover. We carry out a care needs assessment with you in the hospital to ensure the correct support is in place ready for your return.

Respite Care: Many people provide care and support for a member of their own family. Our respite care allows then to take a well-earned break. Our short-term care comes with no obligations or hidden charges.

Dementia Care: This is often the best option for someone suffering with dementia as it allows them to stay in familiar surroundings. It gives them continuous support, minimises risk and provides reassurance, which is particularly important for those experiencing memory loss.

Palliative Care: For those diagnosed with a terminal illness or a progressive long-term condition and whose last wish is to pass away peacefully at home surrounded by their loved ones, we can enable this with professionalism, sensitivity and empathy.

Live-in Care

Live-in care is the perfect alternative to a care home.

Many of our clients value their freedom and independence but have started to experience difficulties in coping on their own at home.

We aim to provide the same standard of care that we would expect for our own families.

This means valuing each person’s unique qualities and seeing them as an individual, and not as a list of care needs.

This could range from companionship and a bit of help with things around the house and getting out and about to full time experienced cares providing care around the clock.

You will remain in the familiar surroundings of your home with the support to assist with all your needs.

Live-in care will allow your loved one to stay in the home they love and continue to get out and about and feel part of their local community. You will be able to maintain your independence.

Our highly experienced team, led by Anette Tidy designs bespoke care packages and supports a broad range of needs including:

  • Companionship

  • Convalescent Care

  • Respite Care
