At AMD Home Care, we are passionate about providing care and support to anyone who would prefer to continue an independent life at home.
You, or a loved one, may simply require a little bit of a help around your home and some companionship or be returning from hospital and need some help getting back on your feet.
Our support ranges from providing a bit of extra help here and there to full time care provided around the clock in your home. All delivered by our highly experienced and qualified team of carers.
Many of our clients value their freedom and independence but have started to experience difficulties in coping on their own at home. Or at the other extreme, they may have limited mobility and rather than going into residential care or a hospice, they would prefer to be looked after in their own home.
We aim to provide the same standard of care that we would expect for our own families. This means valuing each person’s unique qualities and seeing them as an individual, and not as a list of care needs.
Whether it is for short-term companionship or for long term support, we will work with friends and family to deliver the most professional and suitable support.

“As Mum’s dementia got worse and we were struggling to stay on top of her care we decided that the best thing we could do was look for ‘live in’ care. This in itself was quite daunting. It’s scary to think about someone else living in your Mums house. How would Mum feel? Would she understand? We’re we doing the right thing?
We contacted AMD and they came out to meet us and Mum to see if they could help. Their staff were wonderful. They answered all our questions and addressed all our fears. After reviewing some carer profiles That AMD selected we met with several carers and decided who we thought would be the best ‘fit‘ for Mum.
In July the Carer rrived and our prayers have been answered. She is the most wonderful woman. She has the patience of a saint. She is caring and respectful of Mum, but most importantly Mum loves her.
For the first time in 2 years we can relax when we are away from Mum because we know she is being well cared for and is happy. We could not possibly cope without her or the support from AMD.
